Coming to the Father

During worship last night I was able to seek away from behind the light board for a couple seconds to take some pictures. I love taking pictures at conference but unfortunatly this year I don't get that oppurtunity too often. I saw a kid during worship with his hands raised, much like so many others were doing, but he was a little different then the rest. He seemed to be trying to reach higher. He was grasping at the air, as if to by trying to climb closer to the Father. It was amazing to watch him. Those are the moments during conference that you think about all the long, hard hours of work that we have put into this and know that it was all worth it. Every splinter, every time it rained and we got frustrated that we would be limited in our work, every t-shirt rolled and every stencil traced, cut, and painted, it's all nothing in those moments when you see kids coming close to the Father. It's truly amazing to witness!

It's monday morning, beginning of CO2. We just had a great two days relaxing between conferences. This is the only week we'll have where we don't have to set up or tear down, our only weekend to relax. So you'd think Sat. I'd sleep in and just take it easy. But no, no sleeping in happened. My plan was to not set my alarm clock and just wake up whenever and head out to the golf course just off campus. So I woke up, looked at the clock thinking it had to be at least 8am (which never seemed to be sleeping in to me until recently) But no, it was 6:15am! So i figure what the heck, I'll hit the links early. I was teeing off with two other gentlemen probably in their 60's by 7am and had played 18 holes by 10:30, not bad for my day off! Then played some softball later in the day. Sunday we went to a canyon near by and had church and relaxed. Some of the boys and I climbed a mountain, which is pictured above. It was absolutely beautiful! I almost died a couple times, but in the end, once we were back on level ground, It was worth the pain I feel in my legs today. So we had a good weekend, hanging with each other and enjoying the mountains of Colorado.

This is a picture of Matt, the sponsor that spent the night in the Isolation booth last night. He stayed in there till they all left for encounter this morning. It was awesome to see him get inside the booth last night and see his eyes tear up as he read the hurts and pains the kids wrote down. I'm excited to see how the interview with him goes tonight to hear what his thoughts and feelings were during his time Isolated.
